Academically Gifted Program
The logo for the office of Academic & Operational Services features a ship on the high seas. The ship icon represents characteristics frequently associated with the gifted learner: being a risk taker, independent in thought and action, self-confident, ready for new situations, and enjoying the challenge of a difficult activity. This icon represents service to the identified gifted students in Danville Public Schools as well. The coordinator of Academic & Operational Services supervises and monitors the school division’s academically gifted program pre-kindergarten through grade 12.
