We are an offer vs. serve program.  We participate in the National School Lunch Programs for all grade levels. Ala Carte choices are available at all school levels.

Prepay your child's lunch fee

Take the hassle out of sending lunch or money every day! Each student has an individual account, accessed by a unique account number. Payments will be credited to your child's account to be used for school meals. Pay for a week or month in advance. Payment can be made by cash or check.

Charge Policy

Students are not allowed to charge breakfasts or any a la carte items throughout the year.  Elementary students are allowed to charge up to the cost of five school lunches.  Once the maximum amount of charges is reached, students can no longer receive regular lunches.  They will be given sandwiches and milk instead until which time the students pay for their charged lunches.  Letters will be sent home to parents on a regular basis reminding them of their children’s charges.  Middle school students, high school students, and adults are not allowed to charge their lunches at any time except in very limited circumstances.

Free and Reduced Meal Program

Danville Public Schools participate in the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program. As a part of this program, we are able to offer meals at reduced or no cost to those eligible students who have submitted a completed application. Eligibility is based on federal income guidelines. Applications are sent home with students at the beginning of the year. Applications may be submitted any time during the school year. Applications submitted last school year are only valid for 30 operating days into the next school year. A new application must be submitted every school year. Applications for foster children are no longer accepted. Instead we must obtain eligibility information directly from Social Services.
