Eighth Grade Washington Field Trip

A group of Bonner Middle School eighth graders took an overnight field trip to Washington, D. C. on March 27th and 28th to experience firsthand the Virginia Standards of Learning. Students visited the monuments, the Smithsonian, Arlington Cemetery, and the White House while in our nation’s capital. One of the most exciting moments of the trip occurred when students visited Capitol Hill to meet our Congressman.

The Bonner eighth grade students were very excited to get an up-close view of our government at work! Several local organizations made donations to help make this trip affordable for the students. American Legion Post 325, Sons of the American Legion Post 1097, and American Legion Auxiliary Dan River Unit 1097 all donated money for this educational trip.
