Black History Month

O.T. Bonner students enjoyed a Black History assembly on February 8 in the Bonner commons area. Arlene A. Carter, Ed.D., was the guest speaker. Dr. Carter is a motivational speaker, author, educator, and consultant. Students were invited to sing, dance, and play music with Dr. Carter. Known as “The Dream Lady,” Dr. Carter spoke to the students about setting goals and being lifelong learners. She also recited several of her poems. This was an exciting assembly for the students. Many commented on the energy and enthusiasm that Dr. Carter demonstrated in her presentation.
