High School Registration 2013

     Eighth grade students at O. T. Bonner Middle School have been very busy completing their high school registration forms. Bonner Guidance Counselors, Mrs. Burke and Mrs. Royal, have been assisting students as they choose their courses for ninth grade.

      Students who choose to attend Galileo Magnet High School can choose from the following electives: Computer Applications, Debate/Forensics, Intro to Theatre Arts I, or Computer Art. Ninth grade students must also register for English, science, social studies, math, physical education, and foreign language classes.

      Students who choose to attend George Washington High School must also take English, physical education, math, science, and social studies. Ninth grade students at GW can choose from the following electives: Concert Choir, Band- Symphonic, Band- Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, Spanish, French, Latin, Japanese, NJROTC, Foundations of Art, Art Ceramics, or Drama. Other choices include Computer Applications, Nutrition and Wellness, Manufacturing Technology, Communications Systems/Graphics I, Technology of Robotic Design, Geospatial Technology, Engineering Exploration I, Principles of Technology I, Technical Drawing, Engineering Drawing, or Architectural Drawing. Other options are Keyboard Applications, Family Relations, Introduction to Newsmagazine, Introduction to Literary Magazine, and Introduction to Yearbook.

      The current eighth grade students are very excited to choose courses for next year as they plan for the future. There are many discussions taking place about high school credits and college readiness.
