When Caring Turns into Action!

Glenwood Elementary School students were able to put what they have learned about the character trait, CARING, into action when they participated in the Salvation Army canned food drive.

Top Three Classes: Mrs. Henchey’s Kindergarten class collected 39 cans, Mrs. Harris’ class collected 45 cans, and Miss Fallen’s Fourth grade class collected 49 cans.

Students collected a total of 335 cans. The Salvation Army was very appreciative of the donation.
Mrs. Harris’ students took advantage of an opportunity to use the donated cans for an impromptu math lesson. Her students counted and sorted the donated cans.
