Selected as a Participating School in the Fresh Fruit and Vegetables Program - Our students enjoy nutritious snacks on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

-Our school met the AYP benchmarks and is fully accredited.

Glenwood was honored with the 2012 Board of Education Competence to Excellence Award! The Board of Education Competence to Excellence Award was earned by 171 schools that met all state and federal benchmarks for at least two consecutive years and made progress toward the goals of the governor and the board. This is our second Competence to Excellence Award under the leadership of Principal Darlene Logan and a superb team of educational leaders. Last year, we only missed earning this award by 3 points based on the Virginia Index Performance Awards formula. Principal Logan is extremely proud of our students and team. She also extends a special thanks to our families for their support, Dr. Sue Davis, Superintendent, and Central Office Staff and DPS colleagues.
