Internet Safety Week

The week of September 19-26, 2011 was designated as Internet Safety Week in Danville Public Schools. On September 21, 2011, the students at W. W. Moore received Internet Safety Training during their computer class. Mr. Brian K. Patty, instructor, covered the following topics: internet surfing, texting, online shopping, user names, passwords and cyber-bullying. A video was also shown that warned students of the pitfalls that can come from carelessness. Additionally, the students discussed the dangers that can be avoided with common sense practices. The class ended with a short quiz. The students did very well.
