Join the race to GED from the
comfort of your home.
Watch
Race to GED® on TV 20
and learn . . . and
then take the GED Test.
What:
Prepare to earn your GED test by studying at home
39 shows in all – 1 hour in length – the same show
will be shown twice per day: 7:00 – 8:00 a.m. and repeated from 5:00 –
6:00 p.m.
GED Connections
– all academic – will run for the first half hour;
Workplace Essential
Skills – teaches academic skills through work related
material – will run the second half hour
Shows will be aired every Monday, Wednesday, and
Friday at the above times.
A new show will air each day.
How to Get
Started:
Call the Adult &
Career Education Program at
799-6471 to find out more about the program – ask about our Information
Meetings.
Turn your
television to City TV Channel 20 on the Adelphia-Comcast cable system and
view an orientation about the program on one of the following days:
November
13, 15, 17, 20, 22, or 24th --- at
7:00 am
or 5:00
pm
Attend an
Information Meeting and purchase your workbooks at the Adult Education
Center, 141 Goode Street (the road in back of the Langston High School
campus)

Who Can
Participate:
Adults 18 and over who need a GED
Beginning November 27, 2006,
GED Connection and Work Place Essential Skills will be shown
on City TV 20 on the Adelphia-Comcast cable system. Sessions will be
taught each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at both 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.
