Crop Walk 2013

    The sixth annual Danville Area CROP Hunger Walk took place on October 6th at 3:00 p.m. Mrs. Harvey, a seventh and eighth grade history teacher at Bonner participated in this event along with twenty three of her students. Several parents also participated! The walkers in this event completed a 5k.

      This amazing group of students raised over $550 for this worthwhile cause. The money from this event is split between two organizations. 25% of the money raised goes to God’s Storehouse, which is a local organziation. 75% of the money raised goes to Church World Service, which feeds people in fifty countries.

      Mrs. Harvey’s students joined hundreds of other people in the CROP Hunger Walk. This community service event supports Mrs. Harvey’s history currciulum as students learn about the responsibilities of citizenship.

      Congratulations to Mrs. Harvey, her students, and their parents for helping raise money to feed the hungry.
