Welcome to Bonner Night

     O. T. Bonner Middle School held a Welcome to Bonner Night on April 16th to welcome the new Bonner students as well as the new Bonner faculty members. The current Bonner teachers and staff met the incoming teachers in a special session in the Bonner library at 5:00 p.m. Principal Larry Bailey led the introductions and answered questions from the new Bonner teachers. After the introductions and question and answer session, all teachers met for brief department meetings.
The evening’s main event was scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in the Bonner auditorium. Incoming Bonner students and their parents attended a general information session led by Mr. Bailey and Mr. Smith. Parents and teachers met the Bonner administrative team: Mr. Bailey, Principal, Mr. Smith, Assistant Principal, and Ms. Guzlowski, Assistant Principal. Bonner teachers then introduced themselves.


      The general information session gave parents important information about the Bonner dress code, the school supply list for the 2013-2014 school year, and general school rules. Members of the Bonner leadership team then led groups of parents and students on tours of the school building. Parents and students asked lots of good questions on their tours.
The tours ended in the Bonner cafeteria for a hotdog social. Parents, students, and teachers were able to mingle and get to know one another. This night proved to be a positive start for an exciting new school year.
