                                              Seeing Science Come to Life

On April 17th, our third graders at G.L.H. Johnson Elementary School took a fieldtrip to the Safari Park in Natural Bridge, VA. During the second nine weeks, third grade students studied the habitats of animals and how they adapt to meet the needs of their environment in Science.

With much anticipation, the students got to see wildlife firsthand at the Safari Park. As they rode in covered wagons, the students got to experience a drive-thru zoo and feed the wild animals. The Safari Park is more than 180 acres and has over 1,000 animals from 6 different continents. The students had a great time and saw animals in a unique habitat.
