Staff Development Training

On Friday, October 7, 2011, the entire education staff traveled to Roanoke, Virginia for a staff development workshop. The topic for the day was 21st Century Skills. The training session was comprised of a World Café format. Participants rotated from table to table as they engaged in a round table discussion. Lively discussions could be heard as everyone gave their input about what skills needed to be taught to develop productive 21st Century scholars and citizens. The following is a list of skills discussed: critical thinking, problem solving, communication, technology, global awareness, academics, leadership, etc.
